Fukushima Disaster Continues

On March 11th, A.D. 2011–just 5 months ago–a 9.0 magnitude earthquake and following tsunami caused a catastrophic failure of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.  Three nuclear reactors suffered “meltdown”.   Initially, there was great international concern over the radiation leaking from the Fukushima plant which might not merely affect Japan, but also Canada, the United States and potentially the entire northern hemisphere.

Over the next few months, however, mainstream media attention was diverted from Fukushima, people lost interest and today, most Americans don’t recognize the word “Fukushima” or remember the three meltdowns.  It’s amazing how quickly people forget.  It’s amazing how easily we are led by “entertainment” to ignore reality.  It’s not just amazing.  It’s frightening.

But the fact is that Fukushima is continuing to bombard the world with lethal radiation.

Here’s an audio interview of Yochi Shimatsu by Jeff Rense that explains that the Fukushima disaster is ongoing and dangerous to all of us.

This danger persists in part because the nuclear industry is more interested in protecting its profits and share in the energy market than in saving lives or protecting the world.  The story of human greed and selfishness seen at Fukushima is one of the most shameful episodes in human history.  It is an indictment of mankind in general and corporations, in particular.  Before this story is finished, the name “Fukushima” may rank right alongside of “Auschwitz” and “Dachau”.

If you’re not already doing so, I suggest you start taking iodine supplements.

You might also notice that Fukushima is a catastrophe of hemispheric–and thus Biblical–proportions.  You might reread your Bible to see if this disaster could “fit in” as one of the “seals” or “trumpets” seen in  Revelation or other “End Times” prophecy.

So far, I don’t think that Fukushima really “fits” with End Times prophecies.  But even that’s scary because it implies that each of the real catastrophes of End Times will be worse, much worse, than Fukushima.  That’s hard to imagine.

Thought on Pretenses

My thought for the day is that our greatest pretenses are built up not to hide the evil and the ugly in us, but our emptiness. The hardest thing to hide is something that is not there. Drop this pretense and fill your heart with all that is good and then live there, in your heart. That's the best place to be...God Bless each of you...
